Hung by Sasha Kiril Doytcheva is the inception of Staged Seating, and explores seating heirarchies by decontextulaizing the chair.
By hanging the chair, it invites one to interact with it instinvitively- in contrast to a perscribed seating arrangmenet in space.
The chair is also given an acrylic sheet, which allows for an alternative use.
It now becomes a seating height surface, or through multiplicity- a stage- further reconciling the relationship between audience and performance.
